10 Weeks Old

Our Little Miss is now 10 weeks old! She is sooo big, we can hardly believe it!


This past weekend Avalon took her first plane trip. We were in Seattle over the weekend visiting my parents, sister and dear friends Sara, Craig, and Kristie.


Avalon got to spend quality time with everyone and greatly enjoyed watching the train sets with my dad. Grandpa has always wanted to share his trains with a grandchild, so this was really special. She wasn't quite ready for a chocolate malt, but there will be plenty of time for that! :)


Grandma also got to try out the Baby Bjorn and take Avalon for a nice walk around the neighborhood. All that walking put Avalon right to sleep!

9 Weeks Old

Our girl continues to grow like a weed!


A couple of days ago we went to Avalon's two month pediatrician visit. Her weight is now 13 pounds 13.5 ounces! Her length is 24.5 inches. So, she has gained 5 pounds and 4.5 inches since her birth! Wow, no wonder why she feels so heavy when I carry her around these days! Of course, her cuteness has skyrocketed exponentially too. :)


This Friday we are taking Avalon on her first airplane ride. We will be up in Seattle for the weekend visiting my parents/sister and good friends Sara and Craig. I'm sure that my Dad is excited about showing Avalon his model trains, although her attention span is pretty short right now! She is going to have to wait a while to try his world famous chocolate malts though...


Springtime is in full bloom in LA. The Santa Ana winds are blowing and yesterday was in the 90s! (That is the high 30's for you Aussies...) Avalon isn't sure about this heat, so we are trying to keep her cool in little Bonds singlets from Sydney. Is there anything that she doesn't look cute in?!

Big Girl - 8 Weeks Old

Hi everyone,

Our girl is 8 weeks old today (although not technically "two months old until April 16)...

She celebrated her first holiday yesterday - Easter! No chocolate bunnies for her this year, but she did go to church (her first time!) and then celebrate at a great lunch at the Comstock's House. She had fun being passed around to all the girls, and she fell asleep in everyone's arms - good girl! She also wore her first dress and blommers and looked so cute. Will post that picture very soon. Next year it will be great to watch Avalon on her first Easter egg hunt!

Avalon's two month pediatrician appointment is later this week. We'll find out what her official weight and length are - - but our scale says that she is now about 13.5 pounds! No wonder why John's biceps have been getting sore... :)

The Aging Process Continues...Avalon is 7 Weeks Old!

Hi all,


Avalon is seven weeks old today and more clever than ever! :)


She is doing very well...eating and sleeping like a professional. Mommy and Daddy are sleeping too...sometimes! On most days, Avalon still likes to eat every 1.5-3 hours. That schedule keeps us on our toes!


Bronte is beginning to be very intrigued with Avalon, although we don't think that Avalon has really noticed Bronte yet. We are sure that they will be great friends one day soon, though.
