Hi All,
Month 15 is in full swing, and there have been lots of fun happenings for Avalon (and John and I , too!).
Avalon is saying new words and sounds almost every day....yesterday she repeated "quack quack"...and she's also recently mastered "wa wa" for 'water' and "happy"...and she gets very annoyed at John if he leaves the room without saying goodbye - she shouts "bye bye" after him! :)
We've been busy now that the weather is getting nicer, and we've been outside with Avalon alot. I'll let our photos do most of the talking...

#1 We had some beach time in Hermosa Beach where Avalon finally did some digging in the sand with her sand tools...
I love this shot...Avalon was being so independent, she walked away from John and I quite far in the sand. I think she was happy when we carried her back to the blanket and didn't make her walk back! :)

#2 Under the Sea is an indoor playground in Manhattan Beach that I've taken Avalon to a few times. John went with us this time, and Avalon played her heart out. She took a super long nap that afternoon......

#3 Manhattan Beach has a little area in the Metlock Center for toddlers to play. Avalon splashed around in the little fountain...

Avalon is still taking swim lessons, although she recently started private lessons to learn more water safety skills (floating, etc.). Here are some photos from her last group class.

#6 Our neighbors are moving to Washington State soon, and so they gave Avalon the playhouse that their kids have had. We got it moved over and set up recently. It has a little sink and table inside. Also a window with a shutter and a door that she likes to open and close. Avalon (and Bronte) love it! Avalon is so happy in the backyard now...when I ask her if she wants to go back inside she says "NO!" and then toddles back towards her playhouse. :)
#7 We went to a birthday party for a 2 year old last weekend and there was a lagoon pool to swim in. Avalon was so confident in the water.
#8 Over the Memorial Day long weekend we went to Terranea in Palos Verdes, CA and stayed in a villa with our friends and their daughter. It was a gorgeous weekend.

She missed her nap (didn't want to take it since she was having so much fun) but then took a little rest on the patio!

#9 Avalon getting a good tickle at a recent baby playdate at our house with some of the prenatal yoga mamas / babies.
We hope that everyone is doing well and that June is off to a great start. 2010 is almost half over already......amazing!
