29 Months Old!

Hi all,

Ok...now, we are almost caught up!

I can hardly believe that she is getting so "old"... :) She's changing a lot. She speaks so much now - huge paragraphs all the time. She explains what she is feeling, what she thinks is happening, and she says what she wants to do and eat. Her language is developed way beyond what I ever expected for a child who is not yet 2.5!

She is happy most of the time - and especially loves being at the park and in the water. She has her 2 year old moments though, and she definitely knows how to push mommy and daddy's buttons! She tests us, and I hope that we pass the test for showing her love and patience while trying to teach her lessons. Being a parent is a ride...it's hard and exhausting at times, but fills us with love beyond what I thought I had available. Avalon always tells me how much she loves me, and I hope that I will be so blessed that she will still say that to me, and want to give hugs and kisses, as she grows up!

Here are some fun photos from Avalon's 29th Month.

John got to celebrate his 3rd Father's Day this year.....notice that pink gift bag - Avalon picked it. :)

We spent the 4th of July long weekend at Terranea with our friends, Nicky, Jeff and Lexi. We celebrated Nicky's birthday while we were there and Avalon and Lexi both took turns blowing out a candle.

Waving some American flags to celebrate Independence Day... :)

Morning swim in the Terranea pool.

Avalon hanging out in her mini pool in our backyard.

Avalon showing off her cool yoga pose (self taught!) :) - - and check out those muscles in her back and shoulders!

Going for a ride in the Garfield car at Babies R Us. :)

Playtime at Valley Park in Hermosa Beach...

Posing with the first Javont Vault package that we sold. I was about to take it to the post office to get it shipped out to the customer. Javont (www.javont.com) is going well - but marketing is a tough and time consuming thing. If you haven't, check out our website and give us some feedback! www.javont.com

Playtime at Polliwog Park in Manhattan Beach...

Having fun in Mommy and Me class.

Eating like a big girl.

The three of us went to a butterfly exhibit at the Natural History Museum...

And finally...Avalon splashing in the wading pool at Holly Glen Park.

Hope that this helps you to get your fix of Avalon photos! :) We hope that everyone is having a fabulous summer (or winter for those of you in Sydney).

And a baby update - - baby girl #2 is set to arrive in a few short weeks. Her due date is August 23. We are getting ready for her to join us...and looking forward to a safe delivery for her (and me!).

All our love, xo

28 Months Old!

Hi all,

Now that baby #2 is getting closer, it's time for me to finally get caught up on the blog! Sorry for the delay.... Here are photos from Avalon's Month 28!

During Month 28, we took a fabulous family vacation to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. We had such a great time. One of the highlights was that our friends, Rhonda and Jerry, were randomly also in Cabo at the same time. Avalon loves them, so it was nice to catch up for some swimming and a night out.

Here's Avalon on the plane on the way to Cabo...she's very excited!

Avalon's first lunch at the gorgeous Dreams Resort.

Testing out the waters in the main pool...

Dinner at the formal-ish Italian restaurant at the resort. In this picture, Avalon is actually wearing her dress...

We weren't quite sure why she decided to take it off at some point during dinner!

Out on the beach, watching Daddy do some morning fishing...

Avalon LOVED the water. In fact, during the trip, Avalon decided that she was done with the arm floaties, and she taught herself to swim! Face in the water...arms and legs moving... We were very impressed, although slightly nervous. She never wanted to pick her face up and take a breath!

Lunch with Rhonda and Jerry at their resort.

Exploring the little town with Rhonda and Jerry.

And here are some various other photos from other times during the month...

Getting another manicure from Daddy!

Helping Rosa blow out her birthday candles! Rosa babysits Avalon once a week.

Avalon is very into playing 'hide and seek" now. One of her favorite places to hide is in the little space between the couch and her bookcase.

Big smiles at the park.

Having fun with the shopping cart at Mommy and Me class.

We went to the Hermosa Beach festival and took Avalon into the little petting zoo area.

Hope that everyone is doing well. Month 29 coming up in a few minutes! :)

All our love,
J, J + A xo
