We had some more Month 18 fun that we wanted to share before we start to move into Avalon's 19th Month...
I'm going to let the pictures do most of the talking this time, since I'd like to get this one out the door soon. And a warning: this one contains A LOT of photos! I got a complaint last time that I hadn't put as many pictures up as usual - and there were over 30 pictures last time! So, I had to really pull things together and find a bunch of images to share this time....over 50....so, I expect that no one complain this time. :)
The first couple of pictures were just Avalon and I playing around at home...

We celebrated Labor Day long weekend in September with a great mini-getaway to Terranea with our friends Nicky and Jeff, and their daughter Lexi.
Terranea is in Palos Verdes in Southern California, and is an amazing resort. Those of you that read this blog regularly might recognize this as the place that we spent Memorial Day weekend in May, too. Yes, we are very lucky that Jeff and Nicky keep inviting us to share their fabulous villa. Thanks guys!

September 11th was the date of our Carver Street Block Party this year! Once again, John and I organized the event and rallied our neighbors for an afternoon of good fun on the block. Everyone had a great time, especially Avalon!

A huge jumper with a slide was in the street for the kids...
Drew and Carly (the daughters of Avalon's godparents) in the fire engine. The fire fighter in the picture is actually our neighbor Josh's younger brother!

Even Bronte came out for a while! :)
Not quite tall enough to ride the big-kids scooter!
Avalon adores Drew and Carly!

In other Month 18 news, Avalon is starting to run! She's also learning to throw a ball around and is having fun stacking blocks (instead of just knocking them over, although she still loves to do that, too!). She's talking up a storm, and showing that she understands what we are saying. She follows simple directions and definitely tells us "no" if she doesn't like what we are asking her to do. Life with her is more of a joy every day.
On to Month 19...we are excited about what it will hold.
Hope all of you are happy and well.
All our love,
J, J + A
