More Month 13 + Easter!

This month has been busy...so here's another set of photos to show what we've been up to!


One of the more exciting things is that we finally got a new sectional! We picked it about 5 weeks ago, and then w a i t e d and w a i t e d while it was being made. It finally arrived, and here it is:

Avalon is walking more and more, although some does still prefer to crawl, since she can get around faster that way. She also loves to use some of her toys with wheels to help her get around:

Easter was so fun this year! We went to church, then to lunch at the Comstock's house in Manhattan Beach. Afterwards, we had a mini Easter egg hunt in our house for Avalon. She was excited!

Here is Avalon's Easter basket. The back is emboidered with her name.

Avalon decided to bite into one of the chocolates...

We also finally took Avalon to the Aquaium of the Pacific, in Long Beach. The exhibits were really nice, and Avalon had fun checking out some of the fish. She especially liked the seals, and splashing in the touch tanks. John and I liked the colorful coral and the sea horses.

13 Months Old!

Hi all,


Avalon's 13th Month has been going great! The sun is shining (at the moment) and we are all feeling happy and healthy.


John and I had our five year wedding anniversary in March. We could hardly believe that it's been five years already....time has flown by so quickly. We celebrated with a long weekend in Santa Ynez, which is a wine region (mainly pinot noir and chardonnay) near Santa Barbara. Avalon went with us, of course, so we added a few other activities like swimming in the hotel pool, going to an ostrich farm, and a shetland pony ranch, to our wine tasting! Ha - not quite like wine tasting weekends of the past!....but even more fun.


Avalon has FOUR new teeth...all of her first year molars came in during Month 13. Right on time, I guess. There was a little teething drama, but not too bad.


Without further ado, here are some of our recent photographs...


I took Avalon to "Under the Sea", an indoor playground in Hermosa Beach with my Mommy and Me class recently. Avalon had a great time playing on the new toys.

We've also been going to Valley Park, where they have this great swing.....Avalon was checking out the other little girls on the playground when I snapped this picture. She loves looking at other little kids. Maybe she wants a sibling? :)
