Here are a few more Month 16 photos that we wanted to share before moving on to Month 17! Yes, time continues to march on (quickly!) over here and we are really enjoying the summer sunshine.
Avalon is LOVING all things "bubble" related. It's her new favorite word and her favorite thing to do! I made a huge batch of bubble soap since we are going through it so quickly now! Let's just say, lots gets spilled as Avalon tries to blow her own bubbles. Toddler fun times!
Avalon went on her first little ride (the kind that sits outside of supermarkets, etc.)....she was sooo scared of it! We shot a little video with my phone, which I'll post soon...but she cried and protested the whole time!
I think the picture below shows just how BIG she is now. Check out the hair, too...
The exciting news in our house over the past 1.5 weeks is that John has been back on crutches!!! He cut his foot pretty badly surfing, resulting in a bunch of stiches. Doctor says he is healing up well now. :) Avalon points at his foot and says "owie".
Avalon loves watching the videos of herself on John's phone! Look how comfortable she looks laying back...

She loves the fish pond toy from Emily now that she is big enough to catch the fish on the velcro fishing pole. Fish are one of her favorite things now, probably because of the gold fish that we adopted. :)
We went to a birthday party for the 7 year old daughter (Carly) of Avalon's God Parents. Avalon had the best time! She played sooo hard and ate and drank lots of treats. She even got to jump in a bouncy house when the bigger kids got bored with it. Here are some pictures from the party.
Manhattan Beach has a series of summertime concerts in the park, which we've been checking out lately. These pictures were from salsa night.
Our Mommy and Me class had a field trip to a park in Redondo last week. Avalon had fun checking out a new park, which we hadn't been to before.
In this picture, Avalon is trying on her new sunglasses. I hope that this pair lasts longer than the last ones!!
And finally, Avalon and Bronte were having a little love fest the other day, which I captured on camera. They are great friends now.
