Aria (Week 28) and Avalon (Month 36)

Hi all,

And on to Week 28...lots of changes for Aria! She started sitting up - pretty much exactly at 6 months of age. It's brought a new kind of fun into her life! She can now sit up and play with toys. She LOVES it...all kinds of toys....musical ones, plush ones, soft stacking blocks, and anything that Avalon is trying to keep away from her. She is grabbing, reaching, and pulling them all towards her. It's great to see her so happy, and it's great that she can sit on the living room floor and stay entertained for a few minutes at a time.

Avalon is a big helper and likes to be where Aria is, too. That also makes Aria happy since Avalon is her favorite plaything!

I think the feeling is mutual...Avalon loves to play with Aria, too!

Avalon's favorite type of playing these days is anything "princess". It's amazing how her love of princesses just developed, since I didn't really try/want to encourage it. There is just something that draws little girls to fairy wings, wands, and pretty pink dresses. Avalon loves to get all dressed up and wave her wand at us. Not sure if she is changing us into frogs, but I guess I wouldn't really blame her if she were! :)

Pop Pop has been the most exciting development of Week 28. Avalon just loves to spend time with him, and we've all loved having him visit us.

It was Pop Pop's birthday while he was with us!

Aria is happy to be at the table for the birthday dinner, too!

We brought Aria's jumper upstairs recently. When we put her in it, she is so busy eating toys and tasting everything. She hasn't figured out that she can jump in it yet, but she spins all around and has a great time.

More princess Avalon...

Three generations of the family!

I wonder if Avalon will share her little chair with Aria once Aria can climb into it herself... Something tells me that we will probably end up with two of these crowding the living room! The funny thing is, once Avalon is sleeping for the night, Bronte jumps up into the chair and likes to lounge there!
